When meeting client expectations is paramount, I consider Kingsdown a key part of my team. At worst, the plants are as expected; nine times out of ten they are better. Deliveries come when they say they will with the correct quantities and their prices are really competitive. Nothing is too much trouble and their reliability means one of the key stresses of the job is removed – clients are happy, contractors are happy and the project looks amazing!

I can’t commend Kingsdown highly enough

When we decided to install a new Taxus topiary feature at Regent’s Park, Kingsdown Nurseries went the extra mile, providing over a period of months many photographs and dimensions of the type of topiary they could offer until they finally found what I was looking for.  From then on the process of  getting the plants on site (particularly as this coincided with Covid 19 lockdown) was extremely smooth, with the plants well protected during transport.

The stock when it arrived looked even better than the photographs provided for my final selection and were exactly of the size and specification we asked for. They were very helpful in discussing suitable backfill material for the plants to quickly establish and responded to my enquiry about the benefits of using an anti-transpirant spray, suggesting a product I could try.

I would certainly include Kingsdown Nursery in my list of companies to approach for any future large topiary or hedging material tenders and would suggest to colleagues that they consider Kingsdown Nurseries for any plant purchases, particularly large hedging and topiary.

Kingsdown were so easy to deal with – quick to respond, attentive and their prices really competitive… the Espaliered Pears arrived in perfect condition despite their stately years and instantly looked at home leaning against the old barn, as though it had always been so.

I have been doing my job for 17 years and over this time I have had to deal with a large number of suppliers, particularly plant growers and nurseries. Without exception they have been unreliable and difficult to deal with. These include some of the really high profile growers in the UK… Kingsdown in my opinion has the edge on customer service, reliability, speed of quotes (helps hugely and is very efficient meaning I can quote quickly and 9/10 I get the job) really good delivery reliability – this is absolutely key to us efficiently delivering our promise to our clients and I have been badly let down in the past with 9am deliveries arriving at 3pm and worse. Your plants are excellent and you don’t seem to mind me returning things! Nothing feels like too much bother and I have appreciated your support over my catastrophic project in M……..n.

I just wanted to drop you a note to say a massive thanks for the supply of the Amelanchier multi stem yesterday. I’m not sure you realise just how difficult a find this has been! I have been in contact with SO many suppliers for this tree and have almost gone ahead with what were sub-standard specimens out of desperation to get the job finished. I am however so pleased that I was patient and waited for this one from you guys because it really is perfect for the space. I’m so pleased with how well it’s completed the job it and more importantly, our clients absolutely love it. I planted it up yesterday with some perennial underplanting and an uplighter. I attach a couple of photos below so you can see just how fantastic it looks in-situ, including some taken in the dark with the lights on that the proud new owners sent me from last night!

Looking forward to a visit to your nursery at some point soon when things are a little more manageable for me here!

I would like to thank you all.  I used to work in customer services, and it is very refreshing to receive genuine excellent customer services. Ernie has been so patient with me.  It was extremely helpful that you could schedule us in the first delivery of the day, and your driver even rang me to say he was going to be delayed half an hour when his arrival was easily within the one hour time frame I was expecting. When I turned up at Kingsdown in the last few days of operation before Christmas Shutdown, I just felt that nothing was too much trouble.

We were very impressed with our first delivery from you, thank you.  The driver was very helpful and cheerful, the plants were excellent quality and your sales team have been helpful and efficient throughout.

The only feedback I would give was that it would have been helpful if the driver had been given my mobile number so that he could contact me for directions –  unfortunately he only had our office number (which is unmanned during the day currently), but that is minor detail and one we can all try to remember next time!
